Beginning June 29th, 2008 and running through
Sunday, July 27th, 2008, NHD will be conducting a
boarding camp in Yarmouth, Maine, located on Maine’s
scenic seacoast.
The main objective of this hockey program is to
provide a fun and challenging environment for young
athletes to develop their hockey skills, as well
as interact with athletes throughout North America
and Europe. This program will engage a group of
young athletes in a comprehensive learning environment
that is safe, free from outside distractions and
most of all, designed to promote the growth of
the individual participants. Additionally, the
athletes will be taught the following:
- Skating instruction from an NHL-level skating
instructor
- Off-ice training and conditioning techniques

nutrition

Graeme will also bring to the camp an array of players
and coaches to serve as both on- and off-ice instructors
and lecturers. The group of individuals will consist
of current and former NHL players and coaches, current
Division I players, as well as individuals with extensive
experience in each of the key program areas (e.g.,
nutrition counseling and physical training experts).
Camp Structure
NHD plans to operate a highly structured and organized
experience for the young athletes who will be attending.

Camp Leadership
Graeme Townshend will be the primary point-of-contact
and responsible for the oversight of the camp operations.
Graeme brings to this camp offering a resume that
includes play at all levels of hockey as well as
a background in coaching and player development.
He has been working with players at the professional
level for the past several years, but has always
maintained his enthusiasm for developing our young
athletes, designing a curriculum around skill development
of the player, but more importantly, takes seriously
his role as mentor and role model for all of his
athletes.
Graeme believes in engaging his young athletes in
the development process – it isn’t
just a lecture, but an experience – which is
why parents and professionals both continue to come
back and insist on getting their instruction from
Graeme. It is a testament to not only his skill and
knowledge as a coach, but the attitude and personality
he brings to each and every interaction with his
players.
In addition to Graeme’s leadership, NHD will
bring to this venture a variety of highly qualified
coaches and camp counselors, each personally screened
and interviewed by Graeme, including Paul
Vincent, skating instructor for the Boston
Bruins.
Mr. Vincent has an impressive resume of experience,
including 33 years as a professional skating and
skills instructor, coach and consultant. Paul instructs
thousands of youth hockey players from around the
world, and is recognized as a leader in college and
professional player training throughout North America.
He is the founder of Paul Vincent’s Dynamic
Skating, has been a featured speaker at international
hockey symposiums (2003 & 2005 International
Hockey Skating Summit), and developed training videos
for player development (Paul Vincent’s Dynamic
Skating” and “Oates to Neely to You”).
